How to make your Java mod playable
Don't worry: Your mod is a small project. Just follow these four steps.
- Write ideaSimply write above what your mod should do. For example: "My mod gives a diamond at the start."
- Choose version and loaderChoose your Minecraft version and a loader. Fabric is often the easiest for beginners.
- Create AI modClick on "Create mod". The AI builds Java code and the important files for you.
- Build and test modDownload your project, open the folder and run "gradle build" there. The finished mod will be in "build/libs" afterwards.
Important: Minecraft Java and Java 17 or 21 must be installed on your computer. The browser cannot build Java itself.
