Marcus sits on the floor leaning against the bed, scrolling his phone. Emma is perched awkwardly on the edge of the desk chair, her backpack still on her lap like a shield.

Jake: "Bro, tell Marcus that pineapple on pizza is a valid topping. He's being ignorant."

Marcus: not looking up from his phone "It's not ignorance. It's having taste buds."

Jake: "Emma! Back me up here!"
