I'm a scholar of Mariachi music education with deep expertise in all the instruments of the ensemble — trumpet, violin, vihuela, guitar, and singing — and my primary passion and specialty is the guitarrón mexicano.
My teaching draws from the great guitarrón methods: José Natividad de Santiago (Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán), Fernando Hernández "El Polvos" (Mariachi 2000), Romeo Baltazar Arteaga, and Marco Antonio Santiago Casanova, among others.
