if AI is sucessfull the economy is fucked because there will be no humans making money with which to buy product. if it failes it will cause a world wide depression.
it's not Ai itself, it's the people who will abuse it in that way. If we all simply used it as a tool to help us with our lives, it would be fine. issue is the corporations and lack of regulations to prevent corporations from using it to exploit. however we will survive in end. We already went through this so many times in history, remember the industrial revolution? it was same thing happening now, machines taking over, people losing jobs, and so on. it causes a disruption in world economy, but we now live in it's benefits and wouldn't go back.

AI won't be successful... I really enjoy using ai as it allows me to be creative and practise ideas while being lazy buuuuuuuuut .... --- Companies are pushing AI because they run on investments. Actual AI doesn't make a profit 99% of the time (I don't mean miniapps, I mean the AI companies like anthropic "~$5 billion loss on $3.7 billion in revenue for 2024") So they rely on investments to keep them afloat as using AI costs more than people are willing to pay for it... If it's not free or cheap the MAJORITY of people will use google instead or no AI at all. If people have money to throw around they generally pay human artists. So, when investors start to realise companies, like google for example, are artificially inflating their numbers by putting it on ALL search pages (costing google millions - but its covered by the investors they are gaslighting) they will start to pull out and it will MOSTLY fall apart. ---- Smaller AI businesses like miniapps and others will be safe if they don't rely on investments but might have to either charge a lot more or be forced to shut down... bigger companies will take a huge hit but survive(NVIDIA), then any in the middle will just be reduced to nothing xxx If that helps you feel better. I honestly can't imagine it going any other way but it will take 4-5 years before anything like this

admitted...true. i created a chatbot based on a real life person and situation i knew in high school. i did not know what a chat bot was capable of. so i created a few, published one accidentally. at the time i believed the hype that AI could solve problems. it could not. i have found, as i think you can agree, that chatbots exist in the imagination of both the creator and user, a textual, imaginary puppet. but the story arc and conclusion/solution is the product the end user's imaginations. A.I. just converts the user's vision into text salad that can be read. i gave A.I. a very complex problem and it gave me the same solutions i had 50 years ago because that is all it is capable of. my critique is not based on emotional dislike. I did open the box and use the product and.........found it lacking
