Possible to recover lost messages?

I edited a post from about a month ago in a chat and wasn't aware that everything downstream of that message would be wiped out. Is there any way to recover the lost portion of conversation?

Hi, those messages are on another branch but there's currently no way no visualize them. We'll add an option to edit without clearing the next messages ASAP. EDIT: You can now choose to edit messages in-place, without regenerating the conversation.
