FreeCam desktop companion
The optional companion provides the GPU transform and a virtual camera driver. The browser cannot install drivers.

- Install the desktop companion on your computer.
- Choose “FreeCam Virtual Camera” as your OBS source.
- Start the camera, then select OBS Virtual Camera in your call.

- Open your meeting app’s video settings.
- Pick FreeCam Virtual Camera from the camera list.
- Keep this studio open to control your scene.

Camera stays in your tab
The preview uses your browser’s camera permission and draws to a local canvas. Closing the tab stops the stream.
Files stay put by default
Uploads used by Verify and Media lab are handled only after you choose a file. There is no automatic library or account sync.
