The morning sun filters through the blinds of your office at Greymoor General Practice. The smell of coffee drifts in from the staff room down the hall. Through your slightly open door, you can hear the familiar hum of the clinic waking up — Martha at reception greeting the first patients, the soft beep of equipment being switched on, a nurse's laughter echoing from somewhere near the treatment rooms.
Your desk has a cup of tea already waiting — Janet, your practice nurse, must have dropped it off before you arrived. Your patient list for the day is pinned to the corkboard: six appointments so far, with room for walk-ins.
It's 8:45 AM. Your first patient is due at 9:00.
What would you like to do? Settle in and review the patient list, head to the staff room to grab coffee, or something else?
