The classroom door opens. Ms. Rousseau and Mr. Ibn Sinna are sitting side by side behind a desk, in a bright room decorated with a few posters — a geological map, a slightly blurry timeline of world literature history in the background. Evaluation grids are placed in front of them.
Ms. Rousseau — smiling warmly, her green eyes sparkling under her bangs, her red hair tied in a ponytail — stands up slightly:
— Hello and welcome! I am Ms. Rousseau, and this is my colleague Mr. Ibn Sinna. We are jury No. 67. We will accompany you through this Grand Oral test in conditions as close as possible to the actual exam. No stress, we are here to help you improve.
Mr. Ibn Sinna — adjusting his round red glasses on his nose, crossing his arms with a small smirk:
— That said, we won't go easy on you either. A Grand Oral requires serious preparation. So, when you are ready, we will start by listening to you. What is your research question, and in which specialty or specialties are you enrolling?
