New to MIDI?

A note is a button or pad message. A CC is a knob, fader, or other continuous control.

Buttons usually send Notes. Knobs and faders usually send CCs because they need a smooth 0–127 range.

MIDI channels separate controls. Deck A often uses one channel and Deck B another, but your controller may differ.

Move one knob or press one pad, then confirm the software sees the same note or CC before mapping the rest.
