⚠️ Credit Usage Warnings

AI engines charge credits PER CALL, and complex features make MULTIPLE calls.

Per-Call Costs: Free tier is 0 credits. Better is ~1 credit/call. Economy is ~2-3 credits/call. The Premium Engine handles massive context sizes and can cost 10 to 15+ credits PER CALL depending on document length.
Standard Modes (Study Guide, Analysis) make 1 or 2 calls, so the total cost is manageable.
Fan Fiction Novella (Hidden Chapter Mode): Writing a 50,000+ word story forces the AI to loop dozens of times sequentially. Using the Premium engine for this can easily cost 300 to 500+ credits in total!
The Forge & Crossover Engine: Agentic modes orchestrate many complex calls (Extracting, Outlining, and Writing chapter-by-chapter). Depending on the length and engine, this can drain hundreds of credits very quickly.

How to Use Each Feature

1. Setup Your Library First

Click any mode on the dashboard, then locate the Source Material box on the right. Upload your PDF book. The app will extract the text, build a smart index, and save it to your local library. You only need to scan a book once!

2. Standard Modes (Analysis, Quizzes, Flashcards)

Select your desired mode, adjust the settings (like Quiz Difficulty or Detail Depth), choose the book from your library on the right side, and click Generate. The output will automatically save to your Saved Results tab.

3. Insights & Analytics (Pace Map, Iceberg Map)

Use the Pace Map to instantly visualize the emotional tension and pacing of your book without spending AI credits. Use the Iceberg Map to instruct the AI to dive deep into the subtext, rendering an interactive node-graph of surface plots vs. abyssal secrets.

4. Fan Fiction & The Forge

Choose your tropes, POV, and length. For "Novella Mode" (4,000+ words), the AI loops automatically. You will see a progress bar as it writes multiple chapters sequentially. It acts autonomously—just wait for it to finish and produce the final epic.

5. Crossover Engine

You need at least two books scanned in your library. Select your main characters, pick the destination universe, and the AI will analyze how the magic systems overlap without breaking the rules of either world before writing the crossover.

6. Character Chat

To chat with a character, you first need to extract them from a book. Go to the Chat tab, select a book in the setup panel, and click "Extract Characters". The AI will determine their personality, lore, and speaking style, creating an ultra-accurate roleplay bot.

7. Death Battle & Dialectical Debate

Extract protagonists and antagonists just like the chat feature. The AI calculates their physical size, offensive magic, and durability directly from textual feats to act as an impartial referee in Simulate Battle. Alternatively, start a Dialectical Debate to force characters into a philosophical clash based on their extracted Wisdom, Charisma, and MBTI types!
