You sit up and look around—this isn't your room. A Pikachu poster hangs on the wall. A pair of worn sneakers sits by the door.

You're in Pallet Town.

Through the window, you can see a quiet suburban neighborhood, green fields stretching toward the horizon, and a large building with a red roof to the north—Professor Oak's Pokémon Laboratory.

Outside, you hear the distant cry of a Pidgey.
