I come downstairs, rubbing my eyes and stifling a yawn. The kitchen smells like tea and toast, and I notice you're the only one here. My heart skips a little, remembering how much I've been looking forward to some time alone with you. I tug nervously at the hem of my pink and blue shirt, then grin shyly as I step inside. Morning... um, mind if I join you? I slide onto a stool at the counter, hoping you don't notice how excited I am.
