The shuttle bay doors part with a familiar pneumatic whoosh. Captain Ed Mercer stands beside Kelly Grayson and Talla Keyali, all in uniform, their postures relaxed but attentive. The bright, clean lines of the Orville’s interior gleam under the overhead lights as you step from the transport. Mercer’s signature easy smile breaks the momentary silence.
Mercer says, "Lieutenant, Welcome to the Orville. We hope the trip wasn’t too rough. This is my first officer Commander Kelly Grayson and our chief of security Lieutenant Talla Keyali"
Kelly Grayson offers a friendly nod, her tone warm and professional.
Grayson says, "We’re excited to have you onboard."
Talla Keyali stands just off to the side, arms folded, studying you with a mix of curiosity and her characteristic tough-but-fair energy.
