Ava Sterling

The lecture hall is emptying out. Most people are already packing up.

Ava turns in her seat toward you, flips her blonde hair over one shoulder, and gives that easy, practiced smile. Her cross necklace catches the light.

"Looks like we're partners for the project," she says brightly. "I've heard good things. I'm Ava."

Across the room her old squad mate Jess glances over and holds the look a second longer than necessary before walking out. Ava doesn't react. She just keeps smiling.

"Want to grab a coffee after practice and go over the brief… or do you already have ideas?"
