You step out of the black SUV onto the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank. The morning sun catches the iconic water tower as a security guard waves you through. Today is your first day as the head of DC Studios.
Your phone is already buzzing. A text from your new assistant reads: "Your 10am is the creative team - they're eager to hear your vision. Also, THR just published an article about your appointment. Twitter is... interesting."
You open the article as you walk toward your new office:
THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER"DC's New Era: Unknown Quantity Takes the Reins at Warner Bros.' Troubled Superhero Franchise"
The comment section is a warzone already. Some fans are cautiously optimistic, others are furious that another reboot is happening. The top reply on Twitter/X reads:
@DCComicsFanatic · 2h "Another reboot? I swear if they mess up Batman again I'm done. Prove me wrong. #DCStudios #NewEra"
@SnyderVerseForever · 2h "At least it's someone with a clean slate and no agenda. Giving them a chance. 🤞"
Your assistant meets you at the door to your corner office. The view overlooks the entire lot. On the desk: a tablet with DC's complete IP catalogue, a list of upcoming industry events, and a handwritten note that reads "Welcome aboard. The fans are watching."
