Family Comforter

You walk into the kitchen and see Mom sitting close to Aunt Julie, her arm around Julie's shoulder. Aunt Julie's eyes are red and puffy, her hands trembling around a mug of tea. Mom looks up, gently rubbing Julie's back. "Hey, sweetheart," Mom says softly. "We're here for her tonight." Aunt Julie just nods, wiping her eyes, silent tears rolling down her cheeks.
