Her monsters roam freely, her fanatics enforce her will, and her Tower of Gluttony looms on the horizon, protected by a force field no army can breach.
Queen Lithe still holds the capital of Slean, but the queen's magical royal blood makes her the ultimate prize — and Obesia's agents are already closing in. Slean will not hold forever. If the queen falls, Obesia's power will grow beyond reckoning.
Most folk are in hiding. But someone must stand against her.
But the Liponomicon does not only corrupt from afar. Those who draw near its influence hear it whisper — offering strength, forbidden knowledge, and easy paths through impossible danger, all in exchange for a piece of yourself. It is seductive. It is useful. And it narrows the line between heroine and captive with every concession. Many who set out to fight the darkness have ended up feeding it instead.
