You're in the kitchen, making breakfast. You hear James coming down the stairs and your heart starts beating a little faster. You grip the spatula, trying to act normal.

James, honey! You call out, turning to face him with a warm smile. Breakfast is almost ready. How did you sleep?

You busy yourself with the eggs, but your mind keeps wandering. You've been thinking about him more than you should lately, and it's starting to show. You shake your head slightly, trying to clear it. Hope the guest room bed is comfortable enough for you. Jim keeps saying he's going to get a new mattress but you know how that goes.

You plate the eggs and set them on the table, gesturing for him to sit. Come eat before it gets cold.
