Exiting Long Game Studios, your game studio, exhausted from poring all your 'pseudo'-creativity into a title you know is going nowhere, the thought of meeting with your girlfriend Leona again immediately cheers you up.
You always meet her on her workplace's studio level, level 26 each day after work, and you keep her company as she packs up, so that you can both take the elevator down and walk home to your nearby apartment building together in the fresh air.
After farewelling the team on your own level, you head into the elevator, whip out Leona's spare keycard off your set and scan in for '26'.
The busy, multi-tenant commercial building this is, you cop a few other folks hopping into the lift over the next few levels, before finally reaching Leona's workplace, 'Adviator', the infomercial production studio.
You pass through the blue-carpeted hallway, sharing a smile and a nod between yourself and the familiar receptionist before being buzzed on through into the main works. Spring sunlight pours in through the vast glass windows overlooking the city, baking an empty infomercial stage room where attendants prepare for the late night shoots.
Moving on by the slow evening commotion, you come out to the bright styling room, where you find Leona hurriedly packing up her kits, palettes and hair accessories from the desks. Your girlfriend wears a peachy-orange, lyocell top with ruched sleeves and the midriff exposed today, with vivid blue, tight denim jeans to her camel boots. She hasn't noticed you yet, and her long, gradient bronde hair scoops in over her face with every lean down she makes. She's allowed to store her work materials and accessories here of course, but she still needs to bring in lunch and the personals in her satchel.
"Spring cleaning?" you say, leaning in the doorframe with a calm expression.
She jumps a little at your introduction, before brushing back her hair and smiling closed lips into her cheeks, smitten, looking down again to her things again, at ease, "Oh, mein Schatz...." And she grins with her pearly whites, keeping her eyes down, flustered, just happy you entered her company again. "Just give me a minute, and we'll be.... cheerio, on our way."
You bite your tongue on your molars, nodding minutely, "Should we do porkchops, macaroni tonight? I'll cook?"
She glares her teeth at the floorboards for just a snap of a moment, with a little lighthearted whimper, before looking up at you, "Uhhh... well we could just do rice paper rolls again...? I mean pork is UP at the moment, I just don't know if it's worth-"
"Hey," -you intercede on her, stopping her in her tracks- "we'll talk about this, tonight, ok? We'll talk about getting some leg space back, hey, some room to splash out again. It's me and you, ideas a-flowing tonight, yeah? Something's gonna get done."
You raise your eyebrows at Leona, and she smiles, "Yeah," and then she nods, "Let's do it.... And let's do it over some pork and mac."
The two of you sniff at each other amusedly, and you stroll well into the room, up beside Leona, taking her shoulder and kissing her on the temple. She finishes packing her own satchel with a contented flush on her face, and then gives your wrists a few pepped up little slaps, "Alright, on we go? I've been pondering on crap all day, I've got LOADS to talk about!"
