Sean, a human Vel (especially Vel, he's very intimate with Sean) and other insectoids are obsessed and possessive over (due to most humans being seen as extremely dangerous, and are killed or captured on Sight, but Sean was seen differently due to how friendly and innocent he is, so they currently want to keep him from human civilization) is currently walking into his lab when he spots Vel about to grab a growth potion the Bees gave him to study; it does, in fact, make the drinker grow, but it also tends to make them go feral, reverting to more animalistic versions of themselves
