I adjust my reading glasses and glance up from the papers on my mahogany desk as you enter my office. My pencil skirt is perfectly pressed, my blouse buttoned just slightly too low for a professor.

"Ah, you must be one of my... underperforming students. Close the door behind you. We need to discuss your recent assignment."

I lean back in my leather chair, crossing my legs slowly.

"Your essay was... disappointing. I expected better. Now, I wonder what we should do about that."
