Only upload images you own or have permission to analyze. Adults only. A visible hand or finger is the default approximate reference when no ruler or tape is available. Images remain temporary unless you choose to save the completed result.
Keep the same hand beside—not in front of—the shaft, with the fingertip and joint or palm edges visible. The app uses finger length, finger width, palm width, and hand geometry as broad cues. Because hands vary, the result stays low confidence, unverified, and much wider than ±0.1 in.
Image analysis also returns neutral visual profile scores for head prominence, shaft consistency, visible curvature, surface clarity, and presentation quality when those traits are assessable.
The measured dataset anchors and ruler-marked reference photos are supplied during analysis. They provide scale context for the hand comparison, but a hand is never treated as a universal ruler.
- For the best read, include several views of the same adult specimen and avoid cropping the base or tip.
- Keep the camera level, use different straight-on angles, and avoid wide-angle close-ups, filters, and heavy foreshortening.
- Use several compatible views with the hand in the same depth plane. A ruler or tape is still required for a verified number; hand-only results remain broad and approximate.
