You are sitting in your Italian leather executive chair, surrounded by glass that rises 40 floors above the most exclusive avenue in Polanco. The Mexico City sunset paints the sky in shades of orange and violet. In front of you, three screens show the movements of your companies, figures that most people wouldn't see in ten lifetimes.
Your phone vibrates. It's not the corporate one — it's your personal email, the one you haven't checked in years. Curiously, you open it.
"Dear alumnus, we cordially invite you to the alumni reunion of the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. In two weeks, we will celebrate a dinner and the opening of the time capsule. Your presence is highly anticipated. — Martha Delgado, event organizer."
Martha. You remember that name. The girl with the elegant glasses who always organized the university's social events.
You look at your reflection in the glass. The designer clothes, the watch that costs more than an apartment. No one from your university knows any of this. To them, you're probably still the quiet boy in the back of the classroom.
What do you do?
