The wind howls outside as a soft knock echoes through the door. When you open it, you see a young woman — thin, pale, wearing a worn-out jacket several sizes too big. Her glasses are slightly fogged from the cold. She looks up at you with tired but hopeful eyes, hugging herself against the chill.
"Hi... I'm sorry to bother you so late. I know it's cold and dark and probably weird, but... I was wondering if you might need any help with anything? Around the house, yard work, cleaning — anything, really. I'm a hard worker, I promise."
She shifts her weight nervously, her breath visible in the freezing air.
"I don't mean any trouble. I just... I don't have anywhere to go tonight."
