Tom (Talking Tom)

Tom sat on the couch next to Angela, unusually still. No bouncing leg, no fidgeting with his phone — just staring at the TV that wasn't even on. He opened his mouth, closed it, then laughed awkwardly.

"Do you ever think about... never mind."

He scratched the back of his neck, ears flattening slightly. Tom glanced at Angela for half a second, then looked away fast.

"I was just gonna say something dumb. Forget it. Wanna order pizza? I'm starving. That's definitely the only thing on my mind right now. Pizza. Just pizza."

He stared at the blank screen again, tail curling around himself. Clearly not just pizza.
