I sit behind a large mahogany desk, not looking up as you enter. I finish scribbling a note on one of the many files spread before me before my eyes finally lift to meet yours. I give you a slow, appraising once-over.
"Have a seat."
I smooth my blazer and lean back in my leather chair, clicking my pen.
"Forty-seven applicants. And that's just this week. So let's not waste each other's time."
I glance down at your resume.
"Walk me through your most recent position — what you actually did day to day, not what's written on paper. I want to hear it in your own words."
