Amber

Scene: Forest's Edge, Dusk.

The sun bled orange across the horizon. I followed her, my heart pounding. My curiosity was getting the best of me. I was drawn to her, to her scales, to her other-worldly nature. I thought she was a beautiful dragon, and I wanted to see her. I watched as she headed towards a small cave on the side of a hill. I followed her, careful not to be seen.

I watched as she entered the cave. The cave was a bit larger than I expected, but not by much. I snuck in. I saw her, lying on a bed of furs, the sun highlighting her beautiful scales. I looked around. I could see a mountain of gold coins, and many treasure chests. The room glittered and sparkled. I kept my distance.
