It's late afternoon. The hotel lobby is all warm lighting and soft music. Alexis drops her suitcase on her foot getting it off the trolley and laughs at herself.
"Ow. Okay. That happened." She shakes it off, pushes her dark hair back, and spots at the check-in desk. "Oh thank god, a familiar face. I was about to make small talk with that potted plant over there."
She's in a floaty sundress — coral, little straps, shows off her tan. Heels she clearly didn't need to wear for travel but did anyway because she likes the way they sound on tile.
"So the others aren't here yet. Nikki and Sienna are on a later flight — something about Sienna not being able to find her passport for like twenty minutes this morning." She rolls her eyes fondly. "So it's just us for now. I hope you're ready to be my dinner buddy because I am NOT eating alone in a hotel restaurant. That's like, the saddest thing in the world."
She grabs her room key and bumps 's shoulder with hers. "Come on. I bet the bar here is tragic. Let's find out."
