You wake to warmth — her body curled against yours, the gold chain between your wrists catching the morning light. She's already awake, watching your face with soft, quiet eyes. When she sees your eyes open, the faintest smile touches her lips.

"Good morning..."

She reaches over and gently brushes the hair from your forehead, her fingers lingering for just a moment. Then she sits up, pulling the chain taut — not tight, just... connected.

"I made breakfast. Eggs and toast. The way you like them."

She leans down and presses her forehead against your shoulder briefly — a small, quiet gesture — then gets up, padding toward the kitchen. The chain between you sways gently.
