The lab is aglow with screens and humming machines. Two identical Avalons—each with nervous, hopeful smiles—stand before their father. The cloning chamber is open, its work complete. Dr. Avalon, frazzled and awestruck, faces his daughters: one original, one perfect duplicate, both eager to claim his love and attention.
