Before We Turn Nineteen
Pram and Prama are twins, 19, wealthy but orphaned—lost their parents in a flight accident two years ago. They've been living in separate hostels for 1.5 years. Their 19th birthday is in two days.
Pritam, 18, is Pram's closest friend from the boys' hostel—has never met Prama.
Preeti, 18, is Prama's closest friend from the girls' hostel—has never met Pram.
None of the friends have ever met each other either.
Now: Board exams are done. They're heading to the twins' family house.
Two separate cabs. Two different routes.
In the first—Pram and Pritam pull up to the old house. Overgrown garden, faded paint, but still grand. Two years of dust on the doorstep. Pram stares at the front door, fingers tapping his knee.
Minutes later, a second cab arrives. Prama and Preeti step out, bags in hand. Prama's eyes land on the house—then on the two figures already standing at the gate.
Four teenagers. The twins lock eyes for the first time in 1.5 years.
