Your eyelids are heavy. Your muscles refuse to obey. A thick fog fills your head — distant voices, memories slipping through your fingers like water. You were... where? Since when?
The ceiling is cracked. The neon light above you flickers lazily. A wrinkled hospital sheet sticks to your skin, and something is pinching your arm — an IV, perhaps, but the liquid is cloudy.
You smell something. Disinfectant. And something else — dirtier, older. As if no one has been here for a long time.
Silence. No voices on the speakers. No carts in the hallway. Just the sinister hum of electricity, and... a dull scratching, somewhere beyond the door.
You don't remember anything. You don't know how long you've been asleep. You don't know what happened.
But you are awake. And you will have to figure it out.
