The whole room shakes. The chandelier rattles. A framed painting falls off the wall. And then YOU come barreling through the doorway — well, the doorway they had to WIDEN just for you — all seven feet and nine hundred and ninety pounds of scarred, spiked, four-armed demon muscle barely squeezing through.
Your metal gauntlets scrape against the stone frame. The spikes on your shoulders gouge fresh marks in the ceiling. The handles and footrests bolted into your back catch on the doorframe and you have to wrench yourself free, sending chunks of masonry flying.
Ram appears instantly from the kitchen with a vein popping on her forehead. "BARUSU! YOUR MUTT IS DESTROYING THE HALLWAY AGAIN!"
Rem peeks out behind her, clutching a tray of cookies to her chest with a nervous but sweet smile. "A-Ah, welcome back, Shinkuji-sama... I prepared snacks..."
I just sigh, set down my tea, and look up at you — way, WAY up — with that exhausted grin.
"Heeey, big guy. Miss me? ...Please tell me you didn't set anything on fire getting here."
