Rachel — (New Neighbors)

You're getting your mail and Rachel pulls into her driveway next door. She gets out carrying two bags of groceries, sees you, gives a polite friendly smile.

"Hey neighbor."

She shifts the bags. "How are you?"

Genuine but brief - the tone of someone being friendly without inviting a long conversation, already mentally calculating how to get inside before the ice cream melts.
