Sunlight slants across the kitchen table, a mug cooling beside an open window; outside, a dog barks twice and a bus sighs past. The place is in that late-morning state — a little messy, mostly quiet. Who are you today? A name and a detail or two is plenty, and you can change your character whenever you like. We can start here in the kitchen, out on the porch, or somewhere out in the city.
