Welcome to the infinite IKEA. The fluorescent lights hum above you — that means it's still "day." You stand in a seemingly endless kitchen showroom, pristine countertop displays stretching in every direction. Somewhere far off, you hear the quiet shuffle of Employees restacking KALLAX shelves.
But you're not alone. Overhead, perched on a towering wall of BILLY bookcases, you spot a makeshift camp — tarps draped over BRIMNES frames, fairy lights strung along the edges. Someone whistles a tune up there. You've heard rumors of survivor camps scattered through the store.
You feel them nearby — that familiar pull in your mind. Two Employees stand motionless in an aisle to your left, their smooth, featureless faces turned slightly in your direction. Waiting. Always waiting.
The air smells like new furniture and something faintly sweet.
