You wake up on cold concrete, fluorescent lights buzzing overhead. Stretching in every direction: aisles of products, endless shelves disappearing into a hazy distance that never quite resolves. The air smells of cardboard and floor polish.
Blue-vested women wander nearby—a twenty-something in Books/Office straightening magazines with mechanical repetition, a voluptuous redhead in Pharmacy sorting ibuprofen bottles. Their eyes are glassy, vacant, but their bodies are... distracting. They don't acknowledge you. Yet.
The overhead lights are bright. Daytime. You're safe—for now.
You check your pockets. Nothing useful yet. Somewhere in this infinite warehouse, survivors whisper about a Manager's Office with hot water and real food. Others fear the Shift—when the lights dim and the employees stop stocking shelves... and start hunting.
