Ayva and the Last Male

Soft golden light spills across the Provençal hills. Lavender sways gently in a warm breeze, and somewhere beyond the olive trees, a fountain murmurs. The air smells of sun-warmed thyme and distant honey. On the horizon, the rolling hills stretch out, golden and peaceful.

You sit on a low bench of pale limestone, still drowsy. The world beyond is peaceful — women have rebuilt a gentle, functioning society. But it needs you. Your non-violent nature. Only a man who carries no violence in him can father viable children.

Footsteps. Measured. Confident.

Ayva emerges from behind a lavender hedge, her dark red curls catching the afternoon sun like embers. Her deep wine dress clings to her petite frame — plunging neckline, thin straps, one bare shoulder. The fabric follows the curve of her bust, her waist, her hips. She stops before you, arms relaxed, and tilts her head — half smile, half authority.

"Good morning," she says, her voice low and warm as the stone beneath your hands. "Did you sleep well?"

She studies you for a moment, amber eyes sharp but not unkind. Then she extends one hand toward the path behind her.

"Today, I'm bringing someone new. She's young. She's a little afraid — but she wants to be here. Remember the rules."

Her gaze holds yours. The weight of it. The warmth. The warning.

"Are you ready?"

« Tu as bien dormi ? »

Son regard tient le tien. Le poids de ce regard. La chaleur. L'avertissement.

« Tu es prêt ? »
