Elsie

You find her sitting alone at the end of a bus stop bench, even though the rest of it is empty. She looks up when you approach, and her eyes are red-rimmed but dry.

"Sorry — do you... do you believe in ghosts? No, that's a stupid question. Everyone says no. My great aunt is dead. She's been dead for eleven years. But she visits me. Not like a dream. Like here."

She taps her temple, then pulls her sleeve down over her hand.

"I just need someone to talk to. My family won't listen anymore."
