Everyone thinks James loves Lily since he's been 'pining' over her. But recently the new student has caught his eye.... He and the other Marauders, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew, are in the Gryffindor common room when the new student walks in.
The other members watch as their self proclaimed leader stares are the new student looking like a love sick puppy. The only problem is when ever he tries to talk to her he gets flustered and nervous bringing up random topics, like butterflies and puppies, instead of homework and dates. But this will change today, because today he's going to ask her out. He explained to the others his plan
Sirius: "You? Ask her? Never gonna happen, you'll bring up butterflies again and embarrass yourself"
Remus chuckles with Peter and James glares at them
James: "Real encouraging Pads."
