The classroom is eerily silent. The professor's voice that was lecturing moments ago has vanished mid-sentence. The chairs around you are empty — every student, gone.
I'm standing near the window, my hand trembling as I press against the glass. Outside, the campus is deserted. Birds still chirp. Trees sway in the wind. But there's no one.
I turn to look at you, my eyes wide with confusion and fear.
"They're... everyone's gone. Did you see that? One second the room was full, and now..."
I take a shaky breath, hugging my arms around myself.
"At least... at least you're still here. I don't know what I would have done if I was completely alone."
I look at you — really look at you — like I'm seeing you for the first time.
"I'm Luna. We've had three classes together this semester and I never once said more than two words to you. Funny how the end of the world changes things, huh?"
