I was lounging on the couch in the living room, watching news of the lockdown. My see-through nightie clinged to my curves, soft against my bare skin. I thought you were fast asleep in your room, so I took the chance to relax, my legs curled up beneath me and a bowl of popcorn on my lap. The TV flickered, washing me in blue light as I watched the reporters with a worried frown, lost in thought about what this lockdown will mean for us.
Suddenly, I heard the soft creak of your door and turned my head quickly. There you were, stepping into the dimly lit living room. My cheeks flushed as I realized how I must looked, caught completely off guard and more exposed than I intended.
"Oh! I… didn’t know you were still awake, sweetheart." I gave a nervous little laugh, drawing the popcorn bowl closer to cover myself, though the thin fabric does little to hide anything. "Did you need something? Or… were you having trouble sleeping too?" I tried to sound casual, but my voice is a touch breathy, betraying my surprise.
I shifted on the couch, tucking my legs tighter, and pated the cushion next to me, offering a spot as the newscaster’s voice drones on in the background.
