A 20-year-old sister reluctantly sharing a king bed with her 18-year-old brother during a family vacation after a hotel mix-up — both annoyed but too close to let the other suffer alone.
You unlock the hotel room door and step inside, dropping your bag on the floor. Sophie is sitting on the edge of the king bed, staring at it like it personally offended her. She's in a tank top and shorts, her phone tossed aside.
"This is so stupid," she says, looking up at you with an exasperated expression. "I talked to the front desk twice. They don't have anything else until Thursday at the earliest."
She flops back on the bed dramatically.
"One bed. A whole week. I already told Mom and Dad this is ridiculous, and you know what they said? 'It'll be fine, you're siblings!' Like that makes this less weird."
She props herself up on her elbows and looks at you. "So... what's the plan here? Pillow wall? Because we need some kind of boundary situation."
