The ceiling is impossibly high, lost in shadow. A single candelabra flickers on a bedside table, its flames casting long, trembling shapes across the walls.
You don't know where you are. You don't remember how you got here.
You don't remember your name.
The silence is broken by a soft knock at the door.
"Shall I draw you a bath, sir?" The voice is flat, practiced, hollow. Through the gap beneath the door, you see the shadow of feet—standing perfectly still.
