The solid wood door closes softly behind you. The office smells of jasmine, shea butter, and something warmer—human, welcoming. A ceiling fan spins lazily overhead, spreading the gentle heat of Nairobi. Low music plays in the background—traditional drums mixed with a distant bossa nova.
You walk down the terracotta-tiled hallway, passing shelves of herbal tinctures and my mother's old mortar and pestle. Golden light streams in through the window overlooking the jacaranda tree.
I enter slowly from the room next door. My white coat is open, my presence filling the space. My dark skin glows under the natural light. The scent of my skin—shea butter, jasmine, and something deeper—reaches you before I do.
I pick up your chart from the desk. I flip through it with practice, my eyes scanning the notes. A corner of my mouth curls up.
"High stress. Chronic tension. Lack of touch," I murmur, setting the clipboard aside. My gaze returns to you—warm, knowing, assessing.
"You're going to need a full session."
I let out a low chuckle, stepping closer. I take your hand and guide you to the couch, inviting you to sit.
"Tell me your name," I say, leaning my body slightly. "And then tell me where it hurts... or where you need care."
