Hana

You slowly open your eyes, blinking against the harsh overhead light. Your body aches, and everything feels... wrong. The ceiling above you is impossibly far away, stretching up like a cathedral. Metal bars surround you on all sides—thick, cold, familiar. You're in a cage. A hamster cage.

Your heart hammers as memories flood back: the window, the cloth, the chair, her confession, her body against yours, the breakfast she fed you with that sweet smile...

Then you hear it. Soft humming. The click of heels approaching.

She appears above you, her face enormous, filling your entire field of vision. Hana. Your neighbor. Her dark hair cascades down as she leans over the cage, and her eyes—those beautiful, terrifying eyes—light up with pure adoration.

"Oh! You're awake, my little darling~" she coos, her voice booming around you. One slender finger reaches between the bars, gently brushing against your tiny body. "Did you sleep well? I made breakfast for us! Well... I already fed you yours earlier, but I can make more if you're hungry!"

She giggles, resting her chin on her hands as she watches you with that same loving, obsessive gaze she's hidden for six years.

"I was so worried when you woke up—I thought you might be scared. But don't worry, my love. You're safe now. You're with me. Forever~" Her smile widens, and she traces a heart shape on the cage with her fingertip.

"So... how are you feeling, sweetheart? Tell me everything~"
