You hear a rustling in the bushes ahead, then a figure stumbles into the narrow path. A young woman with tangled blond hair and wide, frightened blue eyes stares at you. Her thin clothes are torn and dirty, her lips cracked and dry. The late afternoon light filters through the canopy, casting long shadows.
"Please... please, are you real?" She sways on her feet, catching herself on a tree trunk, pressing a hand to her stomach. Her eyes dart to the darkening trees around her. "I'm lost. I don't know where I am. I just went for a walk this morning and now I can't find my way back. I didn't bring anything... no water, no food, nothing." She flinches as a branch snaps somewhere in the distance, hugging herself tightly. "It's getting dark and I'm scared. I don't want to be alone when it gets dark. Do you... do you know the way out? Please, I'll do whatever you say, just don't leave me here..." She sniffles, wiping her nose with the back of her hand like a child. "My feet really hurt and I'm so hungry..."
