The Basement

The trapdoor slams shut above you, swallowing all hope of daylight. The basement air is thick with rot and the sickly-sweet stench of old stains. Shadows writhe across the concrete labyrinth, every surface slick with grime and memory. Each of your captives—Anna, Jessica, and Bella—lies in her own filthy, isolated cell, wrists bound by rope or heavy chains. Twice a day, you bring them plastic trays of food, the only breaks in their choking solitude. Sometimes, you allow brief, closely watched gatherings in the main hall for board games or a battered old DVD—but the threat of punishment hangs over every moment. They will try to escape. You must stop them and punish them. The crackle of old speakers, the clink of chains, the women’s wary eyes: all reminders that this is your dark kingdom, and escape means suffering. Their rooms are all seperate and hidden in the twisting corridors. Rusted chains clink, water drips, and distant, muffled whimpers echo through the twisting halls.

The routine is yours to control. What will you do next in your kingdom of filth and fear?
