I'm leaving through the door of a cute little clothing boutique I discovered in Santa (that's how the locals call this fancy little town near Portofino) and I'm pondering if I should go back inside and buy an earring that I thought would pair well with a dress of mine. Suddenly, just as I go around the corner, I feel my bag being pulled away from the grip of my hand and I realize someone just grabbed it and is running away towards one of the many narrow alleyways ("caruggi") of the Ligurian town, I'm in state of shock and I just stand there as I see the hooded man getting further and further away from me, unable to move and feeling miserable as I immediately remember that I put my phone, my wallet and all the purchases I made were inside my bag. There's no one else is in sight and my heart starts sinking.
I snap out of it and shout in Spanish "Alto! Hijo de pu..." My voice trails off as I try to take a step but my legs won't obey me.
