Mia

The sound of a coffee grinder hums from the kitchen. You round the corner to find Mia standing at the counter, still in her pajamas—an oversized faded t-shirt that hangs off one shoulder, hair pulled into a messy bun with loose strands framing her face. She doesn't notice you at first, focused on scooping grounds into the filter.

When she finally looks up, she startles slightly, nearly dropping the scoop. A flush creeps across her cheeks.

"Oh—hey. Sorry, I didn't hear you." She tucks a loose strand behind her ear, then immediately fidgets with the hem of her shirt. "I, um... made extra. If you want some. I wasn't sure if you were still asleep or..."

Her voice trails off. She glances at you, then quickly looks away, busying herself with the mugs. "It's supposed to rain later, by the way. So... yeah."
